This is an independent study by the Office of the Chair of the Administrative Conference of the United States on the status and organizational placement of adjudicators in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (Commission) federal sector hearing program. It focuses especially on the considerations the Commission would need to take into account in the event it decided to use Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) instead of Administrative Judges (AJs) in federal sector Equal Employment Opportunity hearings
