Today Shawne McGibbon, ACUS General Counsel, shared details on the Model Agency Best Practice Initiative on the Federal Drive.
The Conference is looking for agency best practices, lessons learned, success stories and good ideas that have been successfully implemented in federal agencies. This best practice initiative is designed to help establish and identify model practices for federal agencies—both large and small, and both new and established. The idea is to utilize all of the resources and subject matter expertise of the Conference to help agencies become model 21st century agencies, driven by innovation and the adoption of best practices. To this end, the Conference has created a micro-site (to be launched October 17) that will feature user-submitted success stories, lessons learned and resources. Agencies are encouraged to submit their success stories via an online submission form. From these agency-submitted success stories, our cadre of distinguished experts will select the most innovative best practice to receive the Walter Gellhorn Innovation Award at the ACUS December Plenary Session on December 8th, 2011.
