Retrospective Review of Regulations
On January 18, 2011, President Obama issued Executive Order 13563, Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review, which supplements President Clinton’s EO 12866 on Regulatory Planning and Review. A Memorandum from the Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) on February 2 expanded upon the objectives and requirements of the new Order, which include a retrospective review of existing regulations.
